Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you’re enjoying a day off and time with family and friends…maybe an extra helping of green bean casserole, too. Don’t worry, you have every other day of the year to push your body at a workout (but bonus points if you got your sweat on pre turkey binging!).
In the spirit of thankfulness, I wanted to bring you a little event recap and show my appreciation for my blog readers who supported me this week! Last Sunday I hosted my second Sweat and Repeat event at Soul Cycle Hollywood. I posted the invite on Instagram and ended up with an outpour of interest that quickly filled the guest and wait lists!
The class started at 10:45 AM and most people arrived with plenty of time to mingle, strap on their shoes, and set up their bikes. Gayle led our ride and was the perfect blend of inspiration and kicking-butt! It took only a few minutes for me to wish we had taken a before picture.
Once the ride was over and we had our dose of Soul-therapy, we headed out of the spin room for acai bowl tasters and fat burning lemonade courtesy of Greenleaf Chop Shop, one of Soul Cycle’s amazing neighbors. If you haven’t been yet, you have to check out the gorgeous aesthetics over one of their delicious salads, pizzas, or made-to-order juices.
We all chatted over our mutual love for fitness classes, smoothies, selfies, and healthy living while snapping pics in front of the iconic neon Soul Cycle lights. Once the sweat was finally drying, we headed over to Neighborhood Day at sweetgreen Hollywood—which opened to the public officially on Monday! They were offering free salads and drinks, and even handing out adorable reusable bags that say “Beets don’t kale my vibe.” Nothing like a good pun.
