Sip and Repeat

I love a good sweat (almost) as much as Rachael, but my workout rarely varies — I go to bar method 4-5 times a week, and occasionally a jog that ends with chocolate. While my workouts don’t always have the diversity we should all strive for, my smoothie game definitely does. I exercise to eat, people!

I love having a smoothie before or after a hard workout because I can pack in a ton of nutrient-rich food and still feel like I’m treating myself. If I’m working out later in the day, I reach for a pre-workout smoothie for the energy I need without the heavy stomach feeling. All my smoothies are dairy-free, because that helps me avoid an upset stomach, but that is a personal preference – though I will say, almond milk is delicious! Here are some of my favorites. This studio is brand new to the LA barre scene, replacing Pop Physique Hollywood. When they opened on January 1st, the held free classes for a week but I couldn’t make it. Since Instagram is their only form of communication until the website is complete, I saw that they were having two more free classes and signed up immediately.

When Danielle Cuccio reached out via Instagram about taking one of her classes, I did some research and found that not only is she a private yoga instructor with her own wellness company, but also she writes a blog, The Beauty Blender. Danielle invited me to either Yoga Booty Ballet or Power Flow Yoga. We all know that I am not yoga’s bigger fan, so I opted for the one that included the words booty and ballet thinking it would basically be a barre class…I was completely wrong!
