I’m always a little skeptical about the intensity of Pilates reformer classes so when I saw a Pilates/Spin combo, I thought it would be the perfect mix of a workout, and I was right!

Barry’s Bootcamp is becoming a household name for butt-kicking…one that makes my legs shake just thinking about. I’ve peeked into a Barry’s studio before only to see the lights turned low, the music high, and sweat everywhere. It took me a while to get the guts up to register, knowing that this high intensity interval training class involves a treadmill (blech), but I knew it would be an amazing sweat.

For Day 3 of my morning workouts, I decided to look for somewhere that was within walking distance. This was a great idea because I assumed it would take less time than driving (I was in for a rude awakening…and an accidental jogging sesh). I am currently spending a week trying to be a morning exerciser. I also happened to get ENGAGED the night before this exhausting week was set to begin. The result: a champagne-hangover 7:00 AM Monday barre class. After the initial sleep deprivation wore off, I took out a calendar and planned my class schedule for the rest of my week. Looking for places in the Hollywood/West Hollywood area, I stumbled across a morning class at Best U Studio. I’ve wanted to take this class for a while, so I decided there’s no better time then now!
