This studio played hard to get for a while. The longer they stayed off of ClassPass, the more eager I became to try it. I thought about shelling out the money for a single class, but when push came to shove, I waited it out. Finally, my prayers were answered! As much as I wanted to check it out, it wasn’t until this weekend that I finally made the drive to Beverly Hills for a class.

Sometimes I’m in need of a class that’s going to challenge me and make me sweat profusely. While barre and Pilates classes aren’t hard to come by in this city, finding a killer bootcamp can be challenging. With the first location in DTLA having opened in May and the Beverly Hills studio on July 8th, Los Angeles has just been blessed with a brand new killer class.

Location, Location, Location. If you look on the ClassPass map, until recently, there’s been a pretty big gap in between West LA and West Hollywood. Slowly but surely, Beverly Hills studios have been opening their doors for CPers! Oak Fitness Club is one of those new additions to the roster. I googled the night before to check it out and was pleasantly surprised to see the club was located inside of the UTA plaza (tenants include such companies as the United Talent Agency and Playboy). I was a little worried if I would fit in or stand out, realizing that I was headed into a more business professional setting. In case you were wondering, yes, the name Sassoon does ring a bell with you probably because you’ve heard of the hair mogul Vidal Sassoon. Well, Eden Sassoon is the daughter of Vidal and created this Pilates workout out of her love for fitness. I’ve been hearing murmurs of its difficulty and wanted to give it a shot.
